We’ve always known that we have incredibly talented pupils at Sunninghill and the 2nd annual Sunninghill’s Got Talent certainly proved it! A diverse range of acts that included magicians, comedians, musicians, dancers and singers battled it out in front of an expectant and excited audience. Every performer was accompanied by a live band which added to the spectacle.
Sitting behind the judging desks were Miss Emilie Hardy from The Studio, Tom Bruton, Head of Music at Thomas Hardye School and Ki Shaw – Producer, Youth Dance and Diversity at Activate. They had the unenviable task of choosing a winner from the amazing range of talent on show.
The pupils who took part loved every minute of the show. Lily, a Form 8 pupil said, ‘I had a great experience and really want to go into performing arts. I entered because it will help me feel more comfortable in auditions and help me know what to expect. It was great to see everyone come together and sharing their talents in front of a live audience.’
Lecca Moss, Head of Music & Drama at Sunninghill said, ‘This year’s show was even better than last year! The atmosphere was electric as an incredibly diverse range of acts performed for the audience. I must thank the brilliant, positive judges for giving up their time and providing invaluable feedback.
The event was a fantastic creative arts platform for our pupils and was a showcase for the wide range of talent we have at the school. All proceeds from the event will go to the performing arts charity Activate.
