During the academic year, our sports facilities and grounds are available to hire from 6pm onwards during weekdays and also throughout the weekend and school holidays. These are available to hire by local individuals, clubs and societies.
This includes the all-weather pitch which is set up and lined for either football or tennis (4 courts); the grassed rugby pitch which can also be used for football and our outdoor pool. The main lawn can also be used for Croquet or Bowls.
Measuring approximately 59m by 34m, the Sunninghill all-weather pitch was installed two years ago to offer year-round playing facilities (floodlights to hire from October to March).
The pitch is re-lined annually as part of our routine maintenance programme. The pitch is marked out as four individual tennis courts, two small football pitches or two small hockey pitches.
The facilities can be hired on an hourly basis after 6pm weekdays during term-time and anytime during the weekend and school holidays. It is necessary to wear the appropriate astro shoes / trainers.
We have a small grassed rugby pitch which is an ideal starting ground for younger players. This area can also be used for football training and matches.
The main lawn in front of the house is also available for Croquet and Bowls.
Facilities can be hired on an hourly basis.
The outdoor pool is open April to October; it is heated to around 28 degrees. It is 20 metres long and accommodates 4 lanes with a 3.1 metre drop at the deep end.
There are onsite shower, toilet and changing facilities together with a small grassed picnic area.
Anyone hiring the pool (where Sunninghill are not providing a lifeguard) will need to provide their own fully qualified lifeguard. Evidence of qualifications will be required before the hire commences.
We operate a prepaid card system – contact the Events Manager for further details. During public swim sessions users are able to use their own pool inflatables; you are also welcome to bring a picnic however during these sessions we also run a small café service offering hot and cold drinks, sweets and snacks.
Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. The adult is required to supervise their child but does not have to be in the water if their child can swim.
Children under 5 years of age must be accompanied by an adult on a 1:1 ratio.
The pool is available for private hire for 3 hours. It is the clients responsibility to employ the services of a qualified life guard and evidence of their qualifications will be required prior to the hire.
